Rainswitch is a dual source control device which enables the use of two different water supplies. It can automatically source rainwater from the rainwater tank via a pump and switch to municipal mains water supply when the rainwater supply has been exhausted.
This Dual source controller is specifically designed to source rainwater for water applications such as toilets and/or laundry, with automatic mains water back-up. It is also suitable for exterior taps.
The Rainswitch controller utilizes a float switch which is installed inside the water tank. When there is sufficient water in the water tank Rainswitch will turn the pump on when there is a demand for water and turns the pump off when the demand ends. When the water tank empties, Rainswitch will automatically use mainswater to provide pressurized water to the outlet. When the water level in the water tank is restored sufficiently, Rainswitch automatically stops using mainswater and resumes utilizing the pump.
Rainswitch is ideal for metropolitan rainwater harvesting on homes, toilet blocks and garden irrigation.
