Friction Loss is the term used to describe the force that slows down the movement of the fluid.
This is cused by the action of the fluid moving against the wall of the pipe.
The amount of friction present will be determined byt he amount of water being moved (flow)
The internal diameter of the pipe and the length of the pipeline, we measure this as a loss of the
pressure that is required. friction loss is generally measured in metres. (m)
